General

This is where we will be posting our experiences and ideas as fictionkind and plural. There may occasionally be other things, but we will try to stick to our primary focus.

 

Murdoc is the current host. Stuart is the original host and the co-host.

There are others, but they likely won’t post here. The two of us are out the vast majority of the time, but we expect others to come out more as we work through our trauma and life problems.

We want to focus on multiplicity, plural self advocacy and empowerment, and our own alterhuman experiences. 

We also want to make music someday. Music is a huge part of our life. 

Introductions

 

You can refer to me as 2D or as Stuart, but I prefer Stuart. I’m the original host, actually. I'm currently our co-host. I had my fictionkind awakening in 2018, and it dragged on for three years (on and off), as I dealt with confusion, denial, and other things. I’m feeling pretty solid in this as a result of all of my introspection. 

My fictionkind identity is the largest part of my everyday life, because it is who I am. My otherkind identity is the what I am. 

I'm angelkin, in a more celestial way. I don't relate to most other angelkin, because their experiences seem very anthropomorphized and/or biblical. As an angel, I was a psychopomp entity. I also helped people with their spiritual studies and awakenings. I'm symbolically linked to barn owls, which is probably a theriotype.

I'm Murdoc. I’m the current host. I have also been here since forever. 

I'm not as weird and mean as my source makes me out to be, and Stuart isn't dumb. I wasn't green, and I most closely resemble the art from the first and second phases/albums. 

I don't know if I count as otherkind, but I might. I prefer alterhuman. I don't want to explain now. I will probably link an explanation, because I can't explain this in short with current community vocabulary. 
 

 

Stances

Don't engage with us if this makes you uncomfortable. 

On Plurality:

DID/OSDD isn't the only way to be plural.

You need trauma to have DID. We do not think that dissociative amnesia is naturally occurring, because amnesia in DID is a response to trauma. 

The DSM is not infallible. Homosexuality and asexuality were classified as disorders at one point. The DSM also has a history of misogyny. 

We believe that self determination is self empowerment. We believe that it is up to plurals to define what we are instead being confined into what psychologists define us as. We believe that it is important to understand the science here, but the current scientific understanding of plurality is inadequate. We are pro-science, but this doesn't mean that we are anti-spiritual or endogenic origins.


On Alterhumanity:

We prefer otherkind and fictionkind. We will not force these terms on anyone.

We do not agree with kin for fun. We don't have a problem with the core of what they are doing (identity exploration), but we want it to be known with a distinctly different name and terminology.

In regards to alterhumanity, we believe in self determination with respect to other cultures, people, and identities.

Both psychological and spiritual explanations and bases are okay. 

We think the concept of factkin is a moral gray area. We want people who identify as factkin to be respectful and cautious. Not all factkin are trolls, despite the term being coined by one. 

Your source does not define you. We are not fictionkind by choice, so it is not fair to judge based on source material. We understand that our source has problematic aspects, and we do not agree with the way some things are handled and portrayed. Defending problems (like racism/misogyny) within the source instead of being able to criticize it is not acceptable. 


On politics:

We believe in equality and equity for all. We are leftists and we are anti-capitalism. We believe in giving more power to the people and in creating a more sustainable society. We are not pro-police. We believe in replacing police power with preventative measures and resources for those who are struggling.

We do not trust any politicians. 


Other stances:

We are not pro-ship, but we recognize the moral complexities that this topic holds. We are not "sexual purists", and we think it is assumptive to think that we are. We are not condemning exploring dark topics in fiction. We don't appreciate seeing traumas we have being romanticized or sexualized. 

We do not exclude anyone from the LGBT+ community (other than zoos, pedos, and other paraphilias).
